The Eyes are the Window to the Soul

By Neha

“The Eyes are the Window to the Soul” serves as a remembrance towards the martyrs in Palestine who have passed due to human hatred, negligence, and persecution. During this time, we must remember that we are all of the same race. The human race. Forgetting this instance of genocide and hiding behind what is portrayed in the media will only leave us to lose our sense of humanity as well.

We didn’t ask to be Here

By Neha

We are brought into society without our consent, yet we are told that OUR lives are OURS to live. While we were not asked, we were still born with a voice. Before the things we have kept so dear to us are taken away as well, we should hold them tight and live to our own regard. We don’t owe anyone anything.

Generational Love

By AJ

For the people reading this, I know not everyone will be able to relate. However, this poem was written during a moment of immense pain, and because of that, many things about this might seem straightforward and blunt. I prefer that to inching around the subject.

For those who relate, I hope you find solace in the fact that you’re not alone.
